Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joaquin Díaz (1964) is a German-Spanish graduate civil engineer and Professor of Building Informatics and Sustainable Construction at the Technical University of Central Hesse.
He is a recognized expert in the field of accreditation and quality development. He has acted as a peer review report for cluster, programme and system accreditations in various national and International Affairs accreditation procedures (organized by ASIIN, ZeVA and QAA, among others). In addition, he has extensive experience in evaluating quality management systems at universities worldwide. He advises educational institutions and ministries in numerous countries and has been instrumental in the establishment and development of accreditation agencies in Central America. His expertise includes both consulting and the implementation of quality development processes in the higher education sector. He has been an alternate member of the (German) Accreditation Council since 2019.
He is involved in professional politics as a member of the board of the Hesse Chamber of Engineers, the supervisory board of the Hesse Engineering Academy and as chairman of the board of the Federal Association for Software and Digitization in the Construction Industry in Berlin.
