Prof. Dr. Ulrike Oehmen (1961) is Professor and Head of the Health and Nursing Education course at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg. She studied nursing management, completed a master’s degree in adult education at the TU Kaiserslautern and received her doctorate there under Prof. Dr. Rolf Arnold. She is deputy chairwoman of the senate of the same higher education institutions and on the Board of the Bavarian state association of the Federal Association of Health and Social Professions Teachers (BLGS).
Prof. Dr. Ulrike Oehmen headed the project “Commitment, motivation and competence among lecturers in continuing vocational training in the healthcare sector” at the Bavaria-wide non-profit organization for social services – DAA. There she was also responsible for setting up Quality Management and conducting internal audits. Furthermore, she successfully completed further training as a quality consultant, is the author of several specialist articles and was a peer review report for accreditations of study programmes in Germany. She has been a member of the Accreditation Council since October 2022.
